Description of Services: One-on-one counseling and group supports for caregivers, including family and friends

First Link - Provides individuals living with Alzheimer's disease or other dementias and their caregivers with a variety of support and education opportunities early on and throughout the dementia journey

One-to-one counseling - Free support service * registered individuals are connected with a First Link Counsellor for ongoing support throughout the dementia journey. 1:1 sessions assist in navigating the disease changes and the health care system *  networking opportunities with others experiencing dementia are available through the various programs and services

Support Groups - Provides caregivers an opportunity to connect with others providing care to someone living with dementia * groups meet regularly throughout the month, in-person and online options available

First Link Learning Series - Progressive educational program which offers support and education to people and family members living with Alzheimer's disease or other dementia * offered regularly in various locations

Taking Control of Our Lives - 9-week program for people living in the early stages of dementia and provides an opportunity to discuss the impact of diagnosis and strategies for living well with this disease
