Description of Services: Supports for older adults, and adults with disabilities

128-bed long-term care home * residential care for private rooms, semi-private rooms, and basic rooms * 24-hour nursing and personal care * access to a doctor and other health professionals
  • bedding and furniture
  • laundry and housekeeping
  • meals
  • personal hygiene supplies
  • medical supplies and equipment (such as catheters, ostomy bags, or wound care supplies)
  • assistance with medication and activities of daily living
  • recreation and social programs

Hamlet Estates Life Lease Housing 67 one- and two-bedroom town homes for seniors and those with physical challenges
 
Security and Reassurance Regular visits and phone calls to check on the health and safety of people who live alone * screened personnel listen, talk, and help isolated people stay in contact with the outside world
  • silent safety system provides daily monitoring client's well-being
  • visits made with clients when required to ensure their well-being
 
Spruce Lodge Active Living and Aquatics Centre Community centre for older adults * therapy pool * and fitness room with equipment that is physically friendly for older adults.

Programs include: aquability classes, baby and me, open times, pool fitness classes etc.

Private pool rentals during the week for those requiring therapy and have a therapist to work with them .)pre/ post hip and knee surgery, stroke and cardiac rehab etc.

Private swimming  lessons for children Monday to Friday.

Call to inquire about pool rental for private swims * some classes open to the general public
 
Woodland Towers NonProfit - Supportive Housing and Assisted Living for High Risk Seniors and Adults with Physical Disabilities 116 bed apartments with 15 life lease units and personal care to people qualified for the Assisted Living Program * offers in-home support on a scheduled and unscheduled basis for high-risk seniors or adults with physical disabilities.

Fees: Rates set by the Ontario Ministry of Long-Term Care * subsidies for basic rates may be available for eligible applicants
